April 1: American Utopia (Spike Lee, 2020) + Post screening discussion with Bryan Waterman who teaches in the Arts & Humanities division at NYU Abu Dhabi and writes about the cultural history of literature and the arts in New York City. His book on the band Television's album Marquee Moon chronicles the same downtown scene that produced David Byrne's band Talking Heads in the 1970s. His current research covers New York in the Age of Andy Warhol (1962-87).
