Greetings from Dubai, 2016
Collage on postcards

A series of 20 postcards featuring paper cutouts of modern architectural patterns from images of buildings in Dubai circa 1970s-80s, many of which were landmarks featured on Dubai postcards from that period.

These patterns are laid over purchased postcards of landmarks from Dubai post 2010, they include Burj Khalifa, The Dubai Fountain, Burj Dubai, Jumeirah Beach Hotel.

These collages on postcards are an homage to Dubai’s remaining modern architecture, and a call to preserve it.

Made during my time at the Salama Emerging Artist Fellowship (SEAF) in 2015-2016.
